Affermazione da evitare, è come dire: non hai voluto darmi ascolto? adesso arrangiati. Niente di peggio. Quando un allievo ci chiede aiuto per riparare a un errore che, nonostante il nostro consiglio, ha ugualmente commesso, va ascoltato e aiutato a capire come trovare la risposta alla sua richiesta d’aiuto. Sta cercando una mano tesa non un rimprovero. Ha già imparato che se ti avesse ascoltato non sarebbe incorso in quell’errore, è inutile e controproducente ribadirlo.

“I told you so!”

A phrase to avoid. It’s like saying: “You didn’t want to listen to me? Now deal with it yourself.” Nothing could be worse. When a student comes to us asking for help after making a mistake—despite our previous advice—they need to be heardand guided in finding the answer they’re now seeking. What they’re looking for is a helping hand, not a reprimand. They’ve already learned that if they had listened, they might have avoided the error. There’s no need—and no benefit—in rubbing it in. It’s useless and counterproductive.

¡¡¡Te lo había dicho!!!

Una afirmación que debe evitarse. Es como decir: ¿No quisiste escucharme? Pues ahora arréglatelas solo. Nada peor. Cuando un alumno nos pide ayuda para remediar un error que ha cometido a pesar de nuestros consejos, lo que necesita es ser escuchado y acompañado a encontrar por sí mismo la respuesta que está buscando. Está tendiendo la mano, no buscando un reproche. Ya ha aprendido que, si te hubiera escuchado, probablemente no habría cometido ese error. Repetírselo es inútil y contraproducente.
